- Sanming, Fujian - Sanming is a prefecture-level city in western Fujian province. It borders Fuzhou to the east and Quanzhou to the south. The city is known for its mountainous surroundings and picturesque scenery including Taining Jin Lake and Yongan Taoyuan Cave. There are also a number of historical attractions including the residence of a Ming dynasty official and the birthplace of the Song dynasty. Sanming is a typical old revolutionary base area with an abundance of mountains and forestry resources. The city has a forest coverage rate of 78.88 percent as well as a pristine environment and is home to a variety of wildlife.
